‘the war below’

having the tunnels built was crucial to THE making OF this film, imperative to IT’S visual narrative. I SPENT A LOT OF TIME researching construction methods and use of materials within OUR budget constraints. THE industry is moving in the right direction in terms of sustainability in construction but there is still a way to go until ALL THE BOXES ARE TICKED.

OUR AIM WAS TO recyclE the set by finding another use AT THE END OF FILMING, DELIGHTED TO SAY the tunnels found a new owner WHO GAVE THEM A WHOLE new EXISTENCE!

‘the man in the hat’

a quick tour of our locations to gather my thoughts, how to design a road film literally on the road. the answer was of course to utilise the journey through france and work our way around brocantes and flea markets. EVERYTHING WAS sourced locally WHICH created an authentic vision, WE donated back to the community at the end.
